Lupin Theatre Co... our story

We became friends in 2016 whilst working together on a musical in the Wolverhampton area. By 2017, our ambition to create a new theatre group came to fruition when we officially formed as a not-for-profit limited company. We named the Company ‘Lupin’ from the derivative of ‘lupine’ meaning ‘wolves’ in Latin, since ‘Wolves’ is where we met! Our launch concert, entitled Popcorn and Prosecco, was held at the Newhampton Arts Centre, Wolverhampton in July 2017 and soon after, plans for a bigger show began! We were thrilled to gain the performance licence for Jesus Christ Superstar and to join forces with Musical Director Rob Norman, having enjoyed working together on the concert. Without delay, the search for Jesus began and in October 2017 our members were successfully cast in their roles. As you can see, we get the job done but have a laugh in the process so we thought we would share a couple of examples! Since October, when our members were successfully cast in their roles, the camaraderie and friendship in the group has grown. The team has gone from strength to strength, friendships have been forged and many laughs shared, which, for us, has been an absolute pleasure.

I am a drummer with experience in musical theatre, and I am enquiring to see if you use live bands for your productions, and if so would you be able to direct me towards your musical director.
